NEW BABY!

It's a boy! (we didn't know boy or girl until he was born)
Actually, new about three days ago. Things have been crazy around here. This is the first chance I've had to post this stuff.

Jamon Anthony Godek

born 7-6-07 @ 11:22 am
8 lb 10 oz
21 inches long

Everyone is doing well. Adjusting to being a family of four now.

Sophie is a little jealous of her brother getting our attentions, but all in all is taking it quite well.

We're all healthy and back from the hospital now. Being a dad the second time around is weird. It's like your experience the first tim around has shown you all the things to avoid freaking out about so you freak out about all new things. Our biggest issue has been helping Sophie's transition from only child to big sister. It's gonna take a lot of getting used to (for everyone).
Jamon himself has been a remarkably mellow baby. He has a voracious appetite and let's us know when he's hungry, but other than that is pretty laid back.
In case you're wondering, the name Jamon (Jay-mon) comes from Rachelle's family. Anthony (and Godek, I guess) from mine.

Babies...

crazy stuff, huh?

Wow, man that's fantstic.

And don't worry bout Sophie, if she's anything like mine, they end up being happy that someone else is thier height and hierarchy. And they take to baby-caring like they're trying to prove they know better than you.

Congrats to your wife!

Congratulations. (even if they are from a total stranger; but that´s what you get from blogging)

I remember our son being born, and while I´d like to say that it was the most magical thing I´ve ever experienced, most of it ist lost in a haze of exhaustion and adrenaline.

But having the kid, right here and right now IS the most magical experience ever.

So, good luck to you and your loved ones. And may everything turn out the way you imagined it to.

Congratulations! I look forward to reading about the new adventures of the Godek Clan in your comic blog... once you get back on a regular sleep schedule that is. :D

Thanks guys.

We're still adjusting to our new life, obviously.
Hopefully I'll be able to post more stuff here in the coming weeks.

Babies are hard work.
