This is a great comic structurally Tim! It's got an embedded "sentence" within a "sentence." I hope you're aware that your comics are frequently being analyzed by me...
AAAAAAAAAHHHH!
The PRESSURE!!!!!
Man, I'm glad you liked it. I totally pulled this out at the last minute. It's getting hard to keep up with this blog...
For a seemingly casual sketch comic blog, you create some pretty sophistocated work. Neil does well to scrutinize your work! You ever think of collectin these lulu style?
I won't say the thought has never crossed my mind, but I don't save any hi-res versions of these strips...
I've always seen The Mostly Banal you see here as kind of a test run - a place to work out my approach to a blog-style comic. I've worked on a v 2.0 on and off for some time now, using a hacked up version of comicpress (the WordPress-based comics platform). Once that's up and running my plan has always been to "reboot" the strip with a little more focus on exploring the dynamics of diary comics, and collect with an eye for print. I can't get the script to do exactly what I want though so I've just kept posting here - in beta.
With another kid coming, as well as other projects I'm working on (and, you know... Life.) It's looking like I'm running out of time to teach myself php though. Blogger has tags now (it didn't when I started working on this) - which is a big feature I wanted to exploit wit v 2.0 (and I've started using it on this blog - just testing it out). I may just start up with a modified BlogSpot script. And then I might be ready to publish something too.
Or who knows? It might all go down the crapper.
I am flattered by the suggestion that these are worth publishing in some form. Thank you.
