Biting off more than I can chew

Here's what's on my mind: Comics, of course (image borrowed from Scott McCloud). I've started in on my first webcomic drawn entirely on the Wacom, and it's a doozy. Plus, I can't ignore the more traditional media (I've started a watercolor painted comic - I may have to rethink the method if I ever want to see it done), and I want to continue these blog strips even as I refine my expanded concept behind 'Mostly Banal' before I move the whole shebang to my own webspace and start all over. I'm falling behind on emails and the webcomics I read (just caught up today). Plus, I've got three books to read out of my last batch from the library (I've started on two of them). And that's just the fun 'free time' stuff. I've got chores and responsibilities at home, household fixit projects left undone, overtime at work lately, and just spending time with my family. All of these compete for equal time in my head. I've been feeling a little overwhelmed. And there you have it.

Originally I had some text to go with this comic but it was all annoying whiny stuff so I plopped it in the "title" tag. I think the image can stand enough on it's own with out the detailed specifics of the text.

This is not the comic I wanted for today. I found myself unable to draw the "real" comic - it just came out looking like crap - so I dashed this one off instead. When in doubt, do a comic about how you can't do a comic.

A Room with a View...

Oh, am I a sneak - doing a comic describing a visual without actually showing the visual. Tim, you rascal!

Well, I spent way too much time on this. I was trying some digital effects that I'm not sure played out well. I think I'm proudest of the fact that I drew this entirely at work, from memory, and it still looks like my actual kitchen.

Happy Belated Golden Birthday, Rachelle!

Everybody wish my beautiful wife a happy birthday today! She and the daughter she's given me are the two best things that have ever happened to me. I'm sure glad she was born.
